QA Director

The QA Director manages and coordinates testers and testing processes related to multiple game titles on multiple platforms. They are responsible for planning, conducting and assessing product tests as well as working on process improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

- Create and implement testing policies, procedures and standards across specific products.

- Recruit, manage, train and evaluate the performance of the QA personnel.

- Identify and isolate issues with pre-release software.

- Determine appropriate test strategies.

- Provide quality feedback, including evaluations of content and suggestions for improvement.

- Establish metrics in order to improve the project team efficiency.

- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project deadlines.

- Verify and proofread product manual/documentation.

- Undertake research, including competitive analysis.

Position Requirements:

- 3+ years working experience in the game industry in a leadership, supervisory or management role.

- Excellent knowledge of accepted software and console game Quality Assurance principles, methodologies and best practices.

- Strong knowledge in game production.

- Strong knowledge in game localization.

- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and people management skills.

- Ability to work as a team player and interact with other department personnel.

- Enthusiastic, positive, team oriented, and organized.

- Ability to work under tight schedules and high-stress environment.

- Fluency in English.

Technical Requirements:

- Good computer skills (MS Office, Visio).

- Use and administration of bug reporting software.
