Art Manager

An experienced Art Manager is required who will be responsible for coordination of Art production for the studio, while managing staffing and working with the production team, under the guidance of the Art Director and Senior Producer of our current project.

Responsibilities include:

•Working with production, build and maintain the art department schedule/ backlog

•Manage headcount planning and facilitating cross-studio communication to coordinate resource sharing.

•Manage the art department’s performance reviews and develop career paths.

•Reports to the Senior Producer

People Management

•Establishes and maintains a productive and communicative working environment for the entire team

•Directly manages supporting production staff

•Works closely with all project leads (Creative, Technical, Artistic) to ensure product success

Project Management

•Creates and maintains Art documentation, schedule, resource allocation and risk list/mitigation strategy

•Forecasts Art equipment and staffing needs for project

•Ensures project is on schedule/within budget

External Relations

•Maintains a productive working relationship with client and provides updates on budgets, schedules, game builds, marketing materials, and release deliverables

•Responsible for successful liaisons with external partners

Development Process

•Promotes the development process focused on delivering quality product

•Helps maintain and adhere to product schedule

•Works closely with Sr. Producer to establish long-term schedule including long-term planning meetings and estimation of large scheduled items

Required Experience/skills:

•5+ years of experience as an art manager or lead artist.

•Strong organization skill set

•Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese

•Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

•Strong knowledge of art production in the games industry

•The aptitude and ability to communicate daily with outsourcing partners.

•Ability to work under pressure when necessary and supervise entire projects.
