Description:

A creative User Interface and Graphic Design artist is needed who can design high quality menus, icons and interfaces for our forthcoming titles.

Requirements

Candidates will have a passion for creating attractive high quality user interface designs for console titles and be able to work closely with a dynamic game team and maintain and update UI elements during the iterative development process.

You will also be requested to create original artwork, guide and inspire the game team, as well as artwork for use in game design documents and promotional material.

Experience with 2D packages such as Photoshop essential, web design skills and knowledge of Flash or similar would be preferable. Game industry experience is not essential.

Essential Qualities:

• Good natural artistic ability and flair.

• To work accurately to concept material, identifying the correct approach for the given task.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other artists, designers and programmers.

• A strong eye for detail and a good understanding of colour theory, lighting and composition.

• Proactive attitude towards constantly improving skills and knowledge, as well as sharing this with other members of the team.

Beneficial Qualities:

• Knowledge and experience in game asset creation and the limitations involved.

• Strong traditional art skills.

• Technical skills such as scripting and shader creation.
